Credit Card Surcharge - Eftpos Terminal

Eftpos Terminals now have the ability to add a surcharge at the terminal.

The invoice amount is recorded in the Eftpos terminal, then with the card is swiped or scanned, if the terminal recognizes that it is a credit card, a surcharge is added to the amount entered in the terminal.  This is what the customer will pay.

Do not change the sale price in Infusion.

Eftpos Deposit more than Infusion shows

At the end of the day, the Cash Up will record the Eftpos totals, but the EFTPOS Terminal Totals may also include the Surcharge total.   If this occurs the Cash Up amount and the Eftpos deposit will be different.  Do a Cashbook Receipt and code the Surcharge amount to bank fees.

Eftpos Deposit Less than Infusion shows

At the end of the day, the Cash Up will record the Eftpos totals, but the EFTPOS Terminal Totals may also be reduced by the Surcharge total.   If this occurs the Cash Up amount and the Eftpos deposit will be different.  Do a Cashbook Payment and code the Surcharge amount to bank fees.
