Retaining Customised Sales Analyses Reports After Modification to Standard Report

If a client with an old customised CUSTSA40 which won’t run because of changes made in more recent versions of Infusion a standalone version of the report can be created that still uses its own parameters.

ie, no new functionality that has been added to the standard report will be picked but the report will run the way they want.

That is much much easier than trying to isolate and reinsert any changes that were made to the standard report.

So we would take CUSTSA40 in the custom folder and rename it to eg CUSTSA40TN.

Then into crepflds we would copy the old parameters that ran CUSTSA40 – Stored in Joans ftp site at present

So we open CREPFLDS

Use CREPFLDS

Append from CREPFLDSOLDPARAMS     (Joans ftp)

Now manually rename each line from CUSTSA40 to CUSTSA40TN

And then manually create a record in REPORTS

Use REPORTS

Append blank

Populate it with CUSTSA40TN – a descriptive name – a 1 and F 

And now they should be able to run the report that was customised for them.
