Selling a Kit Individually

We purchase the Cordless items as a kitset and on occasion we need to sell the Skin individually, how should this be done?

Solution

It is advisable that when the Kit is purchased it is stored complete with Battery and Charger, just as a Chainsaw should be stored with the chain and bar.  This will prevent the splitting of the kitset.

On occasions when these do need to be broken down, do it at the time the invoice is being raised. 

It will be necessary to change the Retail Prices's of the products to reflect the correct selling price.  But this will remove the battery and changer from the kit and add to your stock at the latest cost prices.

In the Pro range the components equal the individual prices.

In the Compact Range, the components are more expensive purchased individually.

It is recommended that the Tool only is displayed in the store and an item from stock is sold when the Customer selects either the Kit or Tool.

Selling the items as they are purchased will enable accurate tracking of items for Promotions etc.
