In the Search Plus column for Customer Items or the Customer Name is part of the Search not the Account number.
In the Customer Items module, the system stores the Customer name, and that field is searchable using the filtered search.
If a Customer name is changed – eg Smith and Brown becomes Smith & Brown:
- Reindex the system
- when Customer Item records are found using "Smith and Brown" and the user opens a Customer Item record and saves it, the item disappears off that filtered list of items.
- this is because the system had updated the name to Smith & Brown, and so the original search criteria doesn’t find it anymore.
- the item can be found if "Smith Brown" is typed.
