Removing all Customer Items and Starting Again

We started setting up Customer Items but were never successful.  We want to delete them all and start all over again.

How can we do this?

Solution

There are a couple of options within the software:

1. Delete one by one:  Admin / Deleting / Customer Items
2. Purge – Strongly recommend a backup first – and run the purge when there are no other users logged in -  Admin / Other / Purge Data.  Select Customers – Items

The Purge method will delete any services, asset types etc which takes you right back to a clean slate to start setting up from scratch.

The Delete method will leave any settings / services etc you had set up.

If neither of those options are suitable, come back to us but I would recommend using one of these built in options as it does a better job of ensuring the items are eligible for deletion than we would doing anything in the tables in behind.
