Recommended Minimum Hardware Specifications for Infusion and SPROCKIT™ Business Software

Local Network 1-5 Computers

The Work Stations should have

• Intel i3 or AMD Ryzen 3 Processor
• 8 GB RAM
• Gigabit Ethernet
• Windows 10
• 22” Screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. 4K Displays and Hi DPI mobile displays are not supported
• 256 GB Solid State Drive for the Windows Installation
• Wireless connection is not supported

The Server to Host the Software Should have

• Intel i7 or AMD Ryzen 7 Processor or better
• 16 GB RAM
• Gigabit Ethernet
• Windows 10
• 22” Screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. 4K Displays and Hi DPI mobile displays are not supported
• 256 GB Solid State Drive for the Windows Installation
• 1TB Hard Disk Drive for the Secondary hard drive

Local Network 6 plus Computers

It is required that Work Stations connect to the Server using an RDP or Terminal Server connection. 

The Work Stations should have

• Intel i3 or AMD Ryzen 3 Processor
• 8 GB RAM
• Gigabit Ethernet
• Windows 10
• 22” Screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. 4K Displays and Hi DPI mobile displays are not supported
• 256 GB Solid State Drive for the Windows Installation

A HP ML110 Server is recommended to host the software. Minimum specifications for the server are

• Intel Xeon ES  processor
• 24GB RAM
• Gigabit Ethernet
• Windows Server 2016
• Terminal Server Licensees
• 256 GB Solid State Drive for the Windows Installation
• 2 x 1TB Hard Disk Drives in RAID configuration for the installation of Windows Server and the Infusion or SPROCKIT™ Software
• Wireless connection is not supported

General System Requirements

• Uniterruptable Power Supply (UPS) for the Server (we recommend the Liebert GXT MT+ Tower True-Online UPS 1000VA)
• 16 Port Gigabit Network Switch
• MS Office Office 2016
• Internet Connection Fibre, or VDSL

Wireless printers, including the DYMO LabelWriter Wireless do not work with Infusion and we do not support them.

Backup and Security

• Windows Defender Security Centre enabled on the Server and all Workstations
• Backup – 7 USB Flash Drives 16 GB each to be backed up locally each day and removed off site.
• Backup – Subscription to Keep it Safe,  an Online backup service provided by Infusion

POS Requirements

• Barcode Scanner ZEBEX Z-3191 CCD Handheld Scanner and Stand

Cloud Hosted

General Requirements

• Cloud Hosting requires a minimum internet connection of VDSL or Fibre with a minimum connection speed of at least 10mbps.  Your connection speed can be tested by going to speedtest.net
• For reliability all printers are to be networked and have external port forwarding set up on the router.
• The router must be assigned a static external IP address
• Cloud Hosted sites are backed up twice a day at 7am and at 12 noon.

Workstation Requirements

• Intel Pentium or AMD A6 Processor
• 4 GB RAM
• Operating system to support Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection, we recommend Windows 10
• 22” Screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. 4K Displays and Hi DPI mobile displays are not supported

 

Laptops

Laptops running 11 and 13-inch screens will still run Infusion but it will be small to read. You must leave the Font Size as Normal

Note: If you adjust the font size under Windows, reports and layouts will print with the right hand margin missing.

Netbooks

Netbooks have proven difficult to use with Infusion as the combination of screen size, resolution and font size cause issues

Tablets

Tablets may need an RDP connection to run. This will require the appropriate installation of the RDP App for the device.
