Markup Percentage Not Showing on Products Screen

When I am setting up a new product and enter the Purchase Cost and then the Retail Price, the mark is not shown as a percentage.

Solution

Check under Admin / Defaults / Manage Product Defaults to see which costing is used.

If it is Average Cost, then a price needs to be entered into that field for the Markup to take effect.
