For these instrucitons to work, users must be on version 9.205 or higher.
To set up Infusion with the oAuth2 Protocol, go to Admin / Defaults / Manage Email Defaults, select the option Office 365 (oAuth2) and enter your credentials.
The Test Now button can be used to check if the credentials are correct and working – you may be redirected to the Office365 login page to sign in first.
Your firewall may also block the communication and you will need to allow access.
Generating a Tenant ID, Client ID and Client Secret for the use of oAuth2 Protocol in Infusion Software
Please follow the steps according to the example below.
Go to https://portal.azure.com/#home and sign-in To setup a new App Registration, click on App Registrations
Click on New Registrations
Fill in the Name field (note that some fields can be changed later), select the first Supported Account Type (…-Single Tenant), Redirect URI says optional but enter Web http:localhost:3017 (hosted clients?) and then click Register
After registration, click Add a certificate or secret
Click on New Client Secret
Enter a description for the client secret and choose an expiry term or date, then click Add When the secret has been created, make sure that you copy BOTH the Secret ID AND the Value by using the Copy to Clipboard buttons. The VALUE is a key part of the application password.
For example, you should save the following details (this is not live data):
Application Name : March 2025
Application Name Client id dbe4f945-1f15-46c1-9813-78a144c558d8
Directory tenant e4eed924-5377-4eaf-9afc-d3e4e9bcc909
Application Secret (Password) Value : W938Q~ywa~~jNKBwzGbl2TGtr1d~ae3dbfPj~c~e
Note: Created but not required
Object ID: a9a6ce1c-a0ed-449d-953c-fc1fc0760cad
Secret Id: dac705a0-e70d-4b96-ac7b-380ae24a5684
NOTE that if you don’t save the VALUE now, you cannot retrieve it later. You also cannot change it, so you would have to create another New Client Secret.
Viewing and creating new client secrets
After registering a new App, you can find most of these details by clicking App Registrations on the Home screen, then click on the Application you require.
You can find the Application ID, the Directory ID, and click in Client Credentials to find the Secret ID.
You will NOT be able to view or copy the VALUE however, you need to have copied and saved this detail while creating the App Registration.
You can create a new Client Secret from here if you do not have all the details saved separately (IE the Secret ID VALUE). Make sure to copy and save ALL the details before leaving the newly created Client Secret.
Enter in the information and send Test Now
