SMS Sending with Word - Australia Only

From 9.207 Australian users are able to send SMS Messages using a Custom word.

This has to be set up in the SMS Global account first.  Under settings and the Default "Send From" Address needs to be a Custom Word.

Add the required word in. 

In Infusion go to Admin / Defaults / Manage SMS Defaults and add the required word into the SMS Sender ID

Please note, if using a custom word as the sender ID, no replies will be received.  The recipient can reply at their end, but this message is not received.

Contact SMS Global and make sure that they have changed the account to activate sending SMS using an alphanumeric sender ID.
