This function was added into Infusion Business software in version 8.112. For systems that do not have the Test Now button a standalone file is available from Support or your Partner.
Located in Admin / Manage Email Defaults
To use Test Now, activate the button.
The utility will automatically pick up the current configuration setup for that company.
Enter the receivers email address and click Okay. It is recommend that an email address from outside the network is used.
If the email is sent, then a message stating this will be displayed.
If the email is NOT sent, then a message will be displayed and the resulting error will be displayed on the screen. This can then be copied and used for debugging.
The log will show a reason the email did not send, "Application did not provide an SMTP hostname", "Check Username / Password", ""SMTP Authorisation incorrect" or words to these effect.
