I am comparing my Fixed Assets Depreciation Schedule Report as at the end of the previous financial year with the report as at the start of the current financial year.
The result of Accumulated Depreciation total + Year To Date Depreciation total from the previous year report is not matching the Accumulated Depreciation total from the current year report. Why is that?
Solution
Sold assets in the previous financial year will not appear in the reports of the current year, so for the comparison to be accurate, you must remove sold assets from the equation:
Previous Year Accumulated Depreciation total + Year To Date Depreciation total – Accumulated Depreciation of Sold assets = Current Year Accumulated Depreciation total
