Why can't I add a Fixed Asset?

Solution

Before adding any fixed assets the Type must be set up. 

To do this go to Admin / Settings / Manage Fixed Asset Type

It is recommended that all settings below are set up to ensure the correct operation of the Fixed Asset Module.

Admin / Settings / Manage Fixed Asset Locations

Admin / Settings / Manage Fixed Asset G/L Links

Admin / Settings / Manage Fixed Asset Fields (By Type)

Admin / Defaults / Manage Fixed Asset Defaults
