When we process a Hire, we charge a security deposit. Why is this option greyed out for some Customers and not others? It appears to be intermittent.
Solution
While this may appear to be intermittent, the reason is quite simple. A security deposit can be charged to any customer that is on Cash Sale terms. If they are an Account Customer, the system believes that you have agreed to extend them payment terms and with this reasoning behind the processing, the Security Deposit box is greyed out.
The Customer's terms are shown in Red beside the Charge / Hire to line.
To process the Security Deposit, add the amount in the Security Deposit box, a prompt will appear
When the booking is recalled, the deposit shows in the Less Already Paid box
