Message: Class defination PRINTDEV is not found

This appeared on a system after the server was restarted.  Not every POS transaction was generating the error and the client was unable to identify the exact steps that resulted in the error.

Solution

In the first instance the Invoice Hook Files folder was replaced with one from a new install.  This resolved a PRINTDEV error previously.  But, it is not expected that this was the cause of this issue.

The server continue to have issues with printers so we suspect that is was an issue at their end and was resolved by IT.  Once they had done their thing, this error stopped.

One thing to check would be to make sure the printer Comport has not lost it's settings.
