Why does my Job Deposit show in the GST Report twice?
If your GST method is set to Invoice Basis, when a Job Deposit is first receipted this will show on the GST Audit Trail - Detail report as income. This will be a positive amount.
When the Job is completed and invoiced, the Invoice and the Allocated Deposit will show in the GST Audit Trail - Detail report.
But on this occasion the Deposit is a negative figure. This is because the deposit is being used when the invoice is created and it has already been claimed on a previous return.
