Why is my document not scanning correctly when being emailed to Xtracta? It is only picking up part of the document - if I use the web uploader it works?
The way the file is received from these two methods are different. The web uploader goes straight to Xtracta, so all of the document is scanned.
But, when emailed, it goes through an email parser to identify the type of document before it is received by the Xtracta Server. If you are using Microsoft Outlook while attaching a PDF it is treating the PDF as plain text and processing the file in the wrong way. This is due to it not recognising the new version of PDF's correctly.
While this issue is being looked at by Xtracta it is recommended that you use the file uploaded or another email client if possible.
